Why the results look real
Landmark-accurate blending
The model aligns facial landmarks before compositing, so eye line, jaw width, and nose position carry over instead of being stretched into place.
Tone and lighting match
Skin tone, colour temperature, and shadow direction are matched to the target scene. This is the step cheap swappers skip, and it is why their output looks pasted on.
Temporal consistency in video
Video swaps are rendered with frame-to-frame smoothing, which removes the jitter that appears when each frame is swapped independently.

Is SwapX free to use?
Yes. SwapX is free to download and includes free credits so you can try face swapping before paying. Additional swaps are available through coin packs or a subscription, both purchased inside the app.
Is SwapX the same app as SwapX Pro?
Yes. SwapX Pro is the name many people use for the app, which is listed on the App Store as AI Face Swap – SwapX. There is one official app and one official website, swapxapp.com. More about the SwapX Pro name.
Is there a SwapX app for Android or Windows?
SwapX is currently available on iPhone and iPad. There is no official Android APK or Windows build. Any APK or desktop installer advertised as "SwapX Pro" is not published by us and should not be installed. See platform availability.
Can SwapX swap faces in videos?
Yes. You can swap a face into your own video clips or into ready-made trending video templates. Video swaps take longer to process than photo swaps because every frame is rendered. How video swapping works.
What happens to the photos I upload?
Images are uploaded only to generate your result and are deleted from processing storage after the job completes. They are not used to train AI models and are not shared with third parties for advertising. See the Privacy Policy.
Is it legal to swap someone's face?
You need permission from the person whose face you use. SwapX may only be used with your own face or with the explicit consent of the person depicted. Creating sexual content of a real person without consent is illegal in many countries, including under the US TAKE IT DOWN Act, and is strictly prohibited on SwapX.
