SwapX support
The things people actually write in about, answered directly. If your problem is not here, email contact@swapxapp.com — a person reads it, usually within 24 hours.
"How do I log in?"
You don't — there is no login. SwapX has no accounts, no email signup, and no password. This surprises people because most apps do, but it is deliberate: no account means no credential database, and no credential database means nothing to leak.
What you probably want instead is Restore Purchases. Everything you bought is attached to your Apple ID, so signing into the same Apple ID on a new device and tapping restore brings it all back.
If something calling itself SwapX asks for an email and password, it is not ours. Repackaged builds commonly add a fake login screen precisely to harvest credentials. Do not enter them, and if you already did, change that password wherever else you used it.
"Where do I enter a redeem code?"
Nowhere — we do not issue redeem codes, unlock codes, promo codes, or gift codes for Pro features. There is no field for one because there is nothing to enter.
Sites offering "SwapX Pro redeem codes" or "free unlock codes" are running one of two plays: harvesting your details through a fake generator, or getting you to install something. The free credits included with the download are the real way to try the app before paying.
Purchases and billing
Restoring what you bought
Open SwapX → Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure the device is signed into the same Apple ID you used originally. If nothing comes back, email us your App Store receipt and we will look it up.
Cancelling a subscription
Apple handles this, not us — so cancelling inside our app is not possible. On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SwapX → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
Refunds
App Store purchases are refunded by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If the problem was on our side — a render that failed and took credits with it — email us and we will sort the credits out directly, which is usually faster than a refund.
Credits missing after a failed swap
Credits are returned automatically when a render fails. If one is still missing, tell us roughly when it happened and we will correct the balance.
Purchases made outside the App Store
If you paid inside an Android build from a mirror site, that money never reached us and we have no record of it. We cannot restore or refund it. If you bought through the official Google Play listing while it was live, contact Google Play support — they hold that transaction.
When swaps fail or stall
- Update the app. Rendering happens on our servers, and older versions can lose access. This fixes most reports.
- Check your connection. A blocked or unstable connection appears as a job that never finishes rather than as an error message.
- Try a different source photo. If the app reports that no face was detected, the source is usually too small in frame, too dark, or turned too far to the side. What makes a good source photo.
- For video, try a shorter clip. Video renders frame by frame, so long or high-resolution clips take much longer. Trimming first also costs fewer credits.
- Check where you installed it from. If it was not the App Store, that build is not ours and we cannot fix it. More on this.
Reporting misuse
If an image of you was created or shared without your consent, email contact@swapxapp.com with the subject Removal request. You do not need to be a SwapX user, and you do not need to prove anything before we look into it. We aim to respond within 24 hours. Further resources are on the Acceptable Use page.
Reporting a fake app
Found an APK, a website, or a store listing using our name or artwork? Send us the link. Reports genuinely help — they are how most takedowns start.
Getting a useful answer faster
When you email, including these turns a two-message exchange into one:
- Device and iOS version (Settings → General → About)
- Where you installed the app from
- What you did and what happened instead
- For billing issues, the App Store receipt
- A screenshot if there is anything on screen to see
