SwapX Pro: what it is and where to get it
If you searched for SwapX Pro, an APK, a PC version, or you are wondering what happened to an app you used before — this page is the official answer.
The short version
SwapX Pro is the name people used for our app. The app has been withdrawn from the App Store, but the face swap behind it still runs — in your browser, on Android, iPhone, Windows and Mac. There is no official Android APK and no Windows installer, and neither is needed now. The only official website is swapxapp.com.
Is SwapX Pro the same as SwapX?
Yes. The App Store listing was titled AI Face Swap – SwapX and its premium tier was called Pro; the listing has since been withdrawn. Over time people started referring to the whole app as "SwapX Pro", and that is now the most common way it is searched for. Both names point to the same product.
You may also see it written as Swap X, SwapXPro, Swap X Pro AI, or SwapX AI. These are all the same app. There is no separate "Pro" download — Pro features unlock inside the app.
Why there is no SwapX Pro APK
SwapX was published for iPhone and iPad until it was withdrawn from the App Store; it now runs in your browser at swapxapp.com/app/. We have never published an Android APK. If you find a file called swapx-pro.apk, SwapX Pro Mod APK, or similar on an APK mirror site, it did not come from us.
These files are a real risk rather than a convenience:
- They are unsigned by us, so nothing guarantees the code inside matches the app you think you are installing.
- Repackaged "mod" builds are a common delivery method for credential stealers and adware.
- Any purchase you make inside such a build goes to whoever repackaged it. We cannot restore it, refund it, or support it.
- Photos you upload go to servers we do not control, with no deletion guarantee.
If you are on Android, the honest answer today is that SwapX does not have an Android build. See what we do support and what is planned.
Is there a SwapX Pro for Windows or PC?
No. There is no official desktop build for Windows or macOS. Installers advertised as "SwapX Pro for PC" or "SwapX 電腦版" are not ours.
Some sites suggest running an Android emulator to get SwapX on a PC. That does not work either, because there is no Android build to run in the first place.
The app I had stopped working. What happened?
If an app you were using under the SwapX Pro name stopped opening, stopped rendering, or disappeared from your device, the usual explanations are:
- It was an unofficial build. Repackaged versions stop working as soon as the servers they point at go away, and there is no update path to fix them.
- The app version is out of date. Older builds can lose access to the rendering service. There is no update to install — open the browser version instead.
- A network or region issue. Rendering happens on our servers, so a blocked connection shows up as jobs that never finish.
There is no app left to reinstall — open the browser version instead. Anything you bought inside the old app went to Apple rather than to us, and Apple handles those refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com. A purchase made inside an unofficial build never reached anyone connected to us.
Does SwapX Pro need a login?
No. There is no account, no email signup, and no password. Credits are attached to a recovery code we show you once, which is how your balance reaches another device without you creating anything.
If a site asks you to "log in to SwapX Pro" with an email and password, it is not us. We never ask for credentials.
How to tell the official app from a fake
| Signal | Official SwapX | Fake or repackaged |
|---|---|---|
| Distribution | swapxapp.com, in a browser | APK mirrors, direct download sites |
| Website | swapxapp.com | Look-alike domains, download portals |
| Install | Nothing to install — it opens in a browser | An APK or desktop installer to run |
| Payment | A named checkout, with a receipt | Card form inside the app, crypto, gift codes |
| Login | None required | Asks for email and password |
Looking for an alternative?
If you are on Android or desktop and cannot use SwapX today, we would rather tell you that plainly than send you to an unsafe APK. Whatever tool you choose, check three things before uploading a photo of your face: where images are stored, how long they are kept, and whether they are used to train models. Those answers should be in the privacy policy, and if they are not, that is your answer.
Our own commitments are in the Privacy Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. A fuller comparison guide is on the alternatives page.

Common questions
Is SwapX Pro free?
Opening it is free and there is nothing to install. Swaps use prepaid credits — one for a photo, more for a video depending on length. No subscription, nothing renews.
What is the difference between SwapX and SwapX Pro?
There is no difference in the download — it is one app. "Pro" refers to the premium tier that unlocks inside it: higher resolution output, no watermark, and priority rendering.
Can I get SwapX Pro on Google Play?
SwapX is not currently published on Google Play. Listings using our name there are not ours. Check current platform availability.
I paid but my credits are missing.
Enter your recovery code on the credits screen — that is what your balance is attached to. If that does not bring it back, email contact@swapxapp.com and we will sort it out.
Is there a redeem code or mod that unlocks Pro for free?
No. Any site offering a SwapX Pro redeem code, unlock, or mod is either harvesting your data or distributing malware. The official browser version at swapxapp.com is the only legitimate way to use it.
