First, the name confusion
Several face swap products have names built from the same few words — swap, face, deep, X — so searches like "deep x swap", "face swap x", and "swap x pro" get mixed together constantly. Face swap apps are easy to build and hard to evaluate from a store listing. Marketing screenshots are cherry-picked, and ratings can be bought. These four questions separate a tool worth using from one that is not, whichever name is on it.
1. What happens to your images?
Your face is biometric data — a special category under GDPR and increasingly regulated elsewhere. The privacy policy should state where images are stored, how long they are kept, and whether they are used to train models. All three, in plain words. A policy that is vague on retention is telling you something.
