An AI face swap you open in your browser — Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac. It replaces a face in a photo or video with a face from a source image, matching lighting and skin tone so the result reads as a single photograph. It used to be an app listed as AI Face Swap – SwapX; that listing has been withdrawn.

Same app. "Pro" is how most people refer to it, and it is also the name of the premium tier inside the app — higher resolution output, no watermark, priority rendering. There is no separate Pro download. Full explanation.

SwapX Studio. The only official website is swapxapp.com, and the browser version there is the only official way to use it.

There is no Android app and no official APK — use the browser version instead, which works on Android with nothing to install. Files distributed as "SwapX Pro APK" or "SwapX Pro Mod APK" are not ours and should not be installed.

Yes — the browser version runs on Android, Windows, Mac and Linux with nothing to install and no account. There is no downloadable desktop program, and anything offered as a "SwapX Pro for PC" installer is not ours.

A reasonably current browser. The work happens on our servers rather than on your device, so an older phone is not a problem.

No. Emulators such as BlueStacks and LDPlayer run Android apps, and there is no Android build of SwapX to run.

Opening it is free. Swaps use prepaid credits — one for a photo, more for a video depending on length. No subscription, nothing renews.

No. No signup, no email, no password. Credits attach to a recovery code we show you once.

Open the credits screen and enter your recovery code. If that does not bring them back, email contact@swapxapp.com from the address you paid with.

Apple manages subscriptions, not us. On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SwapX → Cancel Subscription. Access continues until the current period ends.

A swap that fails returns its credits automatically. Unused credits can be refunded within 14 days — email us with your recovery code. Purchases made in the old iPhone app went to Apple, and Apple handles those at reportaproblem.apple.com.

No. Sites offering these are harvesting data or distributing malware. The only code we issue is your own recovery code, and it comes from us, on screen, once.

They are used only to generate your result, then removed from processing storage once the job completes. They are not used to train AI models and are not shared with advertisers. See the Privacy Policy.

No. Results are returned to you. There is no public gallery and nothing is published on your behalf.

Using one is legal. What matters is whose face you use and what you make. You need permission from the person depicted, and creating sexual content of a real person without consent is a criminal offence in the US, UK, EU, and Australia. See the Acceptable Use Policy.

Email contact@swapxapp.com with the subject Removal request. You do not need to be a SwapX user. We aim to respond within 24 hours, and the Acceptable Use page lists further resources including StopNCII.org.

There is no app on any store any more, so an installed copy cannot be updated or repaired. Delete it and open the browser version instead. What happened.

Photos usually return in seconds; video renders frame by frame so longer clips take proportionally longer. A job that never finishes normally means a connection problem, since rendering happens on our servers.

Almost always the source photo. Use a sharp, evenly lit, front-facing image with nothing covering the face, and try to match the target scene's lighting direction. Full guidance.

Flicker comes from frames being swapped independently. Clips with heavy motion blur, rapid head turns, or objects crossing the face are the hardest cases. Why video is harder.

No. Rendering happens on our servers, so an internet connection is required.
